“We all did our A-levels and when we did that we consciously decided we’d give ourselves a couple of years to see where we could take it, and just in the two years we were out we got signed to Mo’Wax in England.” - Jamie McDonald
· Signed to Mo’ Wax in 1998 (after label joined Beggar’s Banquet)
· Released Time to Riot, Sight of Me, Run on Time on 7″ then 4-track sessions on 12″
· Worked from the two-room studio they built in London
· From Here On In recorded at Wessex studios (2000)
· Worked with UNKLE on soundtrack for Sexy Beast (2000)
· Follow up to From Here On In to be released on Kinetic/BMG label and scheduled for release summer 2003

· Influenced by rock/grunge music early on (Nirvana and the like), listened more to dance music as teens
· Radiohead, Bjork, and Sigur Ros considered peers
· Musical mix - acoustic guitar rock blended with dub/dance beats

· The band started playing gigs together around Camden at the ages of 15 and 16
· Joel and Brett love basketball, Joel’s first trip to U.S. was on a hoops tour
